Can I receive a final value fee refund on shipping fees?

On Hip, we require that all sellers set up the shipping costs that they want to receive from buyers through the shipping options that we provide (see below). This ensures a smooth and seamless checkout experience for our buyers.


As a result, we are unable to issue any partial final value fee refunds - in part or in whole - if a seller issues a refund to a buyer for shipping fees. Please note that similarly, PayPal will also not refund these fees.

Relevant Terms Regarding Shipping Charges

  • Shipping and Handling charges, including for additional items, are required to be specified using the options we provide.
  • Shipping and Handling charges must be realistic and are not allowed to be excessive.
  • It is not permissible to instruct buyers to wait for a custom invoice before paying for a purchase.
  • It is not permissible to instruct buyers that they must adhere to a minimum or maximum purchase requirement.
