How do I leave feedback for a Seller?

Each time you buy or sell something, you have an opportunity to leave feedback about your experience. Feedback consists of a positive, negative, or neutral rating, along with a short comment. Buyers and sellers build reputations that are based on all of the feedback ratings and comments left for them.

This information is available in each member's Feedback Profile, and helps everyone buy and sell with confidence.

Since feedback becomes a permanent part of your record, buyers are encouraged to contact sellers to try to resolve any issues before leaving neutral or negative Feedback.

Leaving Feedback

Whenever you purchase an item on Hip, you'll receive a notification under 'Buying Reminders' within your Members Area to leave the Seller feedback.

Simply select the item hyperlink directly on the notification. From there, you'll be able to see a list of all the items that are pending feedback.

Click the checkbox next to the item you'd like to leave feedback on and select the 'Leave feedback' button at the bottom of the page to let other members of Hip know your experience with this Buyer! 

 

Feedback Extortion, Manipulation, and Retaliation 

Buyers are not allowed to use threats of neutral or negative feedback to get something that wasn't part of the original listings, and sellers can't demand positive feedback from buyers.
 
Members can not exchange feedback solely for the purpose of increasing feedback scores, or enhancing their reputation on our site.
 
Sellers are not allowed to include terms and conditions in a listing that limit or restrict the buyer from leaving feedback.
 
If a member leaves legitimate neutral or negative feedback against another member, the member can not leave simply neutral or negative feedback in return as a response.
